Beauty and the Perspective

A friend of mine was helping me see the bigger picture the other day and I ended up focusing more on her, changing my perspective and just taking deep breaths. Life can get a little out of hand but it's nice to see the simplicity and the beauty in it that you didn't know was there. She brings laughter and friendship into my life, not only unending wisdom, so turn to someone in your life and change your perspective, you may see more beauty there than you thought before. -A.Z.

Winning Picture

I never got to show you guys this; this shot is the one I recently one third place with at the TJCEA convention. The competition was very intense and there were lots of skilled competitors, I was very honored to win the feature photography award. Not too shabby, huh? -A.Z.

Floating Factory

Today was one of those days where everything seems to challenge you and you're constantly in your head, not in reality, because you can hold onto yourself more easily when in your own head. These shots remind me of being in my own head, especially the last one, I could have sat on that river bank all day and looked at the still water and the growing mountain.  -A.Z.

Stillness

           Just some of the shots I took in Washington and Oregon, the weather gave me fantastic lighting but also such a haunting feeling. I loved capturing the stillness and while I captured each shot I felt very slow and very observant of all things cold and eerie; an amazing experience.     -A.Z.

Repayment

                     Hello there people of earth and beyond, I'm sorry I have not been posting as often as I would like but I am again present! I recently went on an lens opening trip to check out colleges and the amazing cities of Seattle and Portland, quite a trip and I got to take some amazing photos! Shining Light on the Subject

I have needed a little clarity lately, dusting away a few things I would have rather kept buried but it turned out shining the light on the subject was exactly what I needed. Bringing the light to the things that hide in the shadows is a new curiosity of mine...

Down By The River

       I am constantly noticing textures now, wanting to capture the way everything has a different feel to it. Both a blessing and a curse of photography is that the audience cannot always hear and feel the pictures, but he blessing of it it is, that some can, and I intend to meet those who can, and teach those who can't.

Soles

As I part time dancer and full time photographer, I got the chance to combine two of my passions and found a whole new art. Observing these lovely girls dancing was amazing, though it was really stunning to see their pointed toes and strong supporting ankles. A bunch of pictures of feet may seem odd but these ballerinas had such technique I wanted to capture their strength in the soles of their shoes. ...   -A.Z.

 There is this one tree that I've grown up with and in every type of weather, it continues to amaze me with its detail.  -A.Z.

Back To My Roots

A shoot done at my roots up in the mountains. I always miss it but looking back at it now I notice that there is so much that I never fully took in. The little details one starts to notice as a photographer, or perhaps just a growing being.
